Socially Distant Section at Mass

Bishop David Walkowiak has asked each parish to provide one section in the Main Church where people who want to socially distance, while wearing masks, are able to attend Mass.

This socially distanced section will be the far left section as you face the altar. If you sit in this area, mask wearing will be required.

Mask wearing is strongly encouraged, but not mandated per CDC guidelines, for everyone attending Mass and any parish event.

Volunteer Running Coaches Sought for San Juan Diego Academy

Interested in a fun, healthy volunteer activity mentoring young boys at San Juan Diego Academy? The school seeks volunteers to help coach a running program called Total Trek Quest for 3rd to 5th grade boys, which will be taking place at SJDA again this spring. In addition to getting the boys prepared to run a 5K race, TTQ also teaches the boys about healthy lifestyles and positive social/relationship skills. Coaching will begin the week of March 14 and will take place each week from 3:35 p.m. to 5:05 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at the school. It will not meet during spring break and will end with a 5K run on May 21.

If you might have an interest in helping coach, please contact Tom Sarb at 616-340-7561/ and he will get you further information. Volunteer coaches will need to authorize a criminal background check and take a coaching training meeting before the program begins.
